Eprapah - Charles S. Snow Environment Centre White Track

The PondThe White Track commences at the corner of Cleveland-Redland Bay Road and Colburn Avenue adjacent to the Eprapah Warden's cottage, and marks the route from "Mungara", the Eprapah Visitors' Centre to the Grey Owl Shelter and the Biolab. "Mungara", the original caretaker's cottage built in the early 1930's and recently restored, now houses the Heritage Museum, with natural history and aboriginal heritage displays, a Trading Post and Reference Library. The use of "Mungara" and / or its facilities by individuals or organisations is welcomed, and enquiries should be made to the Friends of Eprapah (07 3378 4115) .

The Pond

A freshwater pond may be accessed from beside the Biolab or from the White Track. Here a facinating "hands-on" survey of freshwater animals can be made. This activity is usually included in environmental education training programs, but may be included in group visits by prior arrangements (See contacts above).
