Eprapah - Charles S. Snow Environment Centre Map

Below is the map of the Eprapah site:Map of Eprapah

Eprapah's northern boundary is defined by Eprapah Creek, which rises at Mt Cotton and flows into Moreton bay near Point Halloran, Victoria Point, and its 39 hectares of natural bushland are bounded also by the Cleveland-Redland Bay Road on the western side and by Colburn Avenue to the South. The Centre offers a great diversity for environmental education studies, with sclerophyll forest on a low sandy ridge, small pockets of rainforest remnants, melaleuca and casuarina swamps and extensive mangrove areas. Eprapah Creek changes from fresh running water (with still ponds, lagoons and billabongs) to brackish water at an intertidal zone and then to tidal seawater. Careful and vigilant management of the site is required to combat introduced pest species originating from surrounding urbanisation, as well as the effects of agriculture and industry. However, these factors create useful case studies and opportunities for hands-on practical experience and projects by students.
