Eprapah - Charles S. Snow Environment Centre Courses

The Bunkhouse Educational Programs for people other than members of the Scout and Guide Associations are offered at Eprapah. Community organisations may, with prior arrangement and with the payment of a small fee use Eprapah as a venue for meetings, outings and informative visits on a number of topics related to the natural environment. Bunkhouse accommodation is available for overnight stays. Visitors may or may not require assistance from Eprapah volunteers, depending on needs, but enquiries and bookings should be made beforehand. Eprapah is privately owned, and permission to enter must be sought. School Programs / Student Visits are conducted by a registered teacher and trained volunteer members of The Friends of Eprapah. Programs are tailored to the needs of students, and may be half-day or longer if required. Eprapah Bush Discovery Tours are being organized for tourists and other visitors. Guided walks through Eprapah’s beautiful bushland uncover a multitude of treasures as walkers discover and identify plant and animal species from the diverse varieties of ecological environments accessed by graded, wheel-chair accessible trails and boardwalks. A freshwater creek, mangroves, a naturally-occurring koala colony, rainforest remnants and an arboretum of native plants are some of the attractions. Year 2000 Courses for Venturer Scouts are run so that Venturers can pass the requirements to obtain their Venturer Award Environment Tape or the Queen's Scout Award Environment Tape. Eprapah is currently running courses on the following topics:

Environment Training Weekend
An environment course for adults!

Leaders! Heres a chance to ge ahead of the kids! This course is designed to give you background information in environmental conservation to help you with programming. Welcome too, are Rovers and lay people being recruited as badge examiners. Also welcome are Guide and Brownie Leaders. This course will also qualify for your elective annual training requirement.
